VIDEO: Parent Attacks Student Over Racial Remark (Added 11/02/06)

A 39-year-old Virginia man heads to jail after assaulting a student at a Roanoke, Virginia middle school.  School security cameras captured the incident, which began when the man asked the 14-old to pick up a piece of paper the student dropped while walking to class.

The man alleges that the teen then made a racist remark towards him.

That’s when the man walked back into the school and assaulted the student.

The man was charged with assault and sentenced to 30 days in jail on Tuesday.
