Jenel Boston anchors NEWSChannel 2 at Daybreak and Sunrise with Jason Powles each weekday morning from 5:00 to 7:00 a.m.

She is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

While growing up in Prince George's County, Maryland she discovered her love for television journalism at the age of 16. She began an internship with the DC Public School TV in the District of Columbia. While there, she Hosted a public affairs show called "In Focus" in addition to working as a General Assignment Reporter.

After graduating from Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD with a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism, Jenel began working for WUTB, My 24. She worked as a Writer/Producer and was quickly promoted as their first On-Air Personality. Additionally, she interned at WTTG, FOX 5 in DC.

Jenel attributes her success to God, Pastor Tony Smith and Victorious Ministries International in Baltimore, Maryland. She has and continues to host various shows that are broadcasted from her church, including "Man Up", the first all-men's Christian weekly talk show. She also works as a TV Correspondent for her ministry.

When not on air, she loves spending time with her husband Jermaine, an ordained Minister and her two children. She also enjoys shopping and watching a good movie.
