Born and raised in Central New York, Kristen is proud to co-anchor the Live at Five Newshour alongside Steve McMurray (aka: Jack of all Trades).

Steve hired Kristen back in September of 2005…little did he know, at the time, he would eventually have to sit next to her for an hour each day.

Kristen started as an overnight producer for NewsChannel 2 at Daybreak and Sunrise. A year later she took a chance in front of the camera to anchor NewsChannel 2 Weekend Today, and from there moved to NewsChannel 2 Weekend at 6:00 and 11:00.

Kristen is a 2001 graduate of New Hartford High School (GO SPARTANS!). From there, she found a home away from home at SUNY Oneonta. In 2005, she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mass Communication.
