Allison Norlian

Allison Norlian joined NEWSChannel 2 in April 2013 as a General Assignment Reporter and is thrilled to report for the Mohawk Valley and call it her new home!

Originally from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Allison discovered her love for the news and passion for story-telling in a high school honor’s English class. It was there that her teacher pointed out her out-of-the-box thinking and presentation skills. After that, the rest was history. She majored in Journalism and Media Studies at Rutgers University, and interned at five news organizations including WABC in New York City, WPVI in Philadelphia, Comcast SportsNet, New Jersey Network and My9 News.

Before coming to WKTV, Allison worked at KYW Newsradio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, freelanced for a small hyper-local newspaper, co-anchored their public access show and was a contributing writer for an entertainment website.

While still attending Rutgers, Allison was fortunate enough to spend four months abroad in Italy, where she was given the opportunity to interview Amanda Knox’s Italian attorney. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was part of the Kappa Tau Alpha, honors society in journalism and mass communication.

When Alli is not out covering a story, she can be found running, at the gym, cooking and baking (she tries to keep it nutritious but sometimes splurges on her specialty - banana nut chocolate chip bread,) and spending time with her family, friends and her pets!
