Special events throughout the year and an annual telethon are held year-round to ensure that funding is available through the Children's Miracle Network (CMN) for Women's and Children's Services at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare's children's services.

CMN, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping to raise funds and awareness for 170 children's hospitals in North America, has allowed Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare to provide the highest quality of care. Over the years, monies have been used to:

• Fund programs such "Be Smart, Don't Start" an educational outreach program on the dangers of smoking for children in elementary schools
• Provide speech and hearing therapy treatment for children with limited insurance coverage
• Purchase equipment, including $30,000 in respiratory monitors, an $8,000 Datascope monitor, and a $13,500 fetal brain ultrasound probe
• Cover the cost of medication or special needs upon discharge for children with no insurance.
