One of WKTV's more recent stars is Meteorologist Matt DiNardo. Matt was NEWSChannel 2's Chief Meteorologist and worked at WKTV from June of 1993 to March of 2004.
Currently, Matt is a meteorologist in Richmond, Virginia, for ABC Affiliate WRIC. He is currently a member of the American Meteorological Society and has held the Television Seal of Approval since 1995.
Matt graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a B.S. degree in Atmospheric Science. He came to WKTV immediately following his graduation. During his tenure and WKTV, he was awarded the Associated Press Award for Best Spot News Coverage three times for the Frankfort Floods, the Schuyler Train Wreck and The Christmas Day Nor’Easter in 2002
You can still see Matt on Utica television as he does commercials for and is spokesperson for ABC ChemDry. Matt also still has family in the area and makes trips to CNY during the holidays.
