James W. "Junior" Chrisman
FRANKFORT-Mr. James W. “Junior” Chrisman, 70 of First Avenue, passed away on Sunday afternoon, October 25, 2009 in Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare with his family by his side. He was born on December 15, 1938 in Herkimer, son of the late James and Beatrice (Parkhurst) Chrisman and educated in Herkimer schools. He was united in marriage with Georgeann Durse on August 26, 1972 in St. Mary’s Church, Frankfort with Father Alfred Lamanna, officiating; enjoying a marriage of 38 years. Junior was last employed with Union Fork and Hoe and was a devoted communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort. He was also a member of the Columbiana Society of Frankfort. Junior was a huge New York Yankees and Miami Dolphins fan, following both teams very closely. He loved accomplishing crossword puzzles and was a talented “handyman”. He could fix anything and was very good with his hands. Survivors include his wife Georgeann of Frankfort; his son: Corey Chrisman and wife Crystal of Fairfield; his granddaughter: Carmella Chrisman; his siblings: Donald “Red” Chrisman of Frankfort, Kenneth Chrisman of Arizona and Betty Sears and husband Edward of Mohawk; a sister in law: Charlotte Durse of Frankfort; many nieces, nephews and cousins, especially mentioning his devoted niece: Linda Kopczenski and also his special neighbors: Dick and Vita Gonyea. He was predeceased by his sister: Lena Lutz. There are no public calling hours. A memorial service will take place at the convenience of the family with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort. Arrangements are with the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, between Frankfort and Ilion, 894-8000-Daniel J. Enea, director. The family is deeply grateful to Dr. Youlohan and Dr. Pachiakara for their kindness and compassion. Also a special thank you to Helen Gardner for her wonderful friendship.
