James L. "Jim" Riesterer

Camden- James L. ‘Jim’ Riesterer 59, of State Rt. 69 passed away Friday Feb 5, 2010 at his home after a brief illness.

He was born Jan 5, 1951 a son of Francis & Edith Maronie Riesterer. Jim was a 1969 graduate of Camden High School. On Jan 8, 1971 he married the former Lois Murray in Sumter, SC.

He retired from the Camden Wire Co., in 1999 after 25 years of service. Since June 1999 he owned and operated Village Liquors.

Jim served with the U.S. Air Force from 1969- 1973 and was a member of the American Legion. He was also a member of St. John’s Church, Sullivan’s Six Point Lodge, the NYS Liquor Assoc., and AARP.

Surviving besides his wife Lois, are a daughter, Rynne’ & Christopher Christon, Mannheim, Germany, a son, Eric & Kristina Riesterer, Brewerton, six grandchildren, Emilee, Michael, Kathleen, Bailee, Kimmy and Victoria, a sister, Susan & Eugene Sauer, Camden, three brothers, Dale & Connie Riesterer, Donald & Lois Riesterer, Camden and Gary & Loren Riesterer, Manchester, CT, several nieces & nephews.

He was predeceased by a niece, Lisa Sauer, 1994.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am Tuesday from St. John’s Church, Camden, NY. Spring interment St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held today from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., 109 Main Street, Camden, NY.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
