About the event:
The Boilermaker Wheelchair Division is part of the Sitrin Health Care Center Wheelchair Challenge. The event attracts some of the top wheelchair athletes in the world to the challenging course.

Distance: 15 kilometers, (9.3 miles), USATF recertified in 2006. The course is marked in kilometers and miles. Over twenty official water and aid stations. Streets are closed to traffic for 2 hours. Splits are given every mile and at 5K and 10K. 

Important Information:
The course is open only to registered runners, wheelchair division athletes and official race personnel. If you are registered, you can pick up your race packet at the Health and Fitness Expo on Friday, July 9, 20 and Saturday, July 10, 2011. Dogs, skateboards, in-line and roller skates, bicycles, walkers, and baby strollers are prohibited. The use of  headphones is strongly discouraged.

Shuttle Service:
Pre-Race Shuttle buses:
Shuttle buses for the wheelchair participants leave the west side senior center on Court Street (near the finish line) at 6:30am.

NEWSChannel 2 Coverage:
NEWSChannel 2 will have live coverage of the start and finish of the wheelchair competition as well as coverage along the course during our race day coverage. We will also post extensive highlights of the race here on wktv.com after the event.
