UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Lelisa Desisa of Ethiopia won the 2010 Boilermaker 15K Road Race Sunday and set a new course record in the process.
Desisa ran the course in 42 minutes, 46 seconds. He broke the old record by a mere 8 seconds.
Desisa also won the Bolder Boulder 10K race last month, finishing in 29:17. He was placed first in the ING Ottawa Marathon/10K held in Ontario, Canada. His time in that was race was 28:08.
