Governor Paterson not running Boilermaker this year

ALBANY, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Governor's Office has confirmed that Governor David Paterson will not be running in this year's Boilermaker Road Race.

A representative from his office says Governor Paterson will be in New York City this weekend and will be unable to attend the race.

In 2008, Paterson became the first New York State Governor to run the actual 15K portion of the race and did so in under 95 minutes.

Former Governor Eliot Spitzer ran the shorter 5K race twice.
