Oriskany Falls man and Sauquoit woman are top local finishers

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Boilermaker Road Race is truly a community event and although international elite runners took the top sports, the local top finishers make the area proud.

On the men's side, Mike Trendell from Oriskany Falls ran a great race after missing last year due to injury. He came in at 51 minutes, 13 seconds, 49th overall.

As for as the ladies, Sauquoit's Jackie Kosakowski finished 17th in the women's division at 56:41. That's nearly five minutes better than her best previous Boilermaker.

Congratulations to all the local runners who went the distance Sunday.
