Illusionist to predict winner and winning times of 2011 Boilermaker

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A local illusionist is getting ready for a big weekend.

Leon Etienne spent the winter concentrating on the Boilermaker and says he already knows who will win and what time they will cross the finish line at the brewery. On Thursday, he turned his prediction over to the Utica's Mayor David Roefaro and will not be opened until the post-race party.

Etienne said he is honored that the Boilermaker Committee called on him.

"I've been fortunate with my career...to travel the world and perform everywhere, but I've never performed at the biggest event at my hometown, which is the Boilermaker," Etienne said

In addition to his prediction, Etienne will participate in the Boilermaker Youth Run at the Health and Fitness Expo on Saturday, July 9 and will perform a free show for the kids right on the grounds of the Masonic Care Community.
