UTICA, N.Y. - On Tuesday, July 5, Dave Faccioli of Utica shot a hole-in-one at the Boilermaker Golf Classic, at Valley View Golf Course, resulting in a prize of a 2011 Jeep Liberty from the Carbone Auto Group. This tournament is held every year to support the Boilermaker Race.

Faccioli stepped up to the 18th tee with his six iron in hand, never imaging what would happen next. “I couldn’t believe it. It’s like that scene in ‘Caddyshack’ where the ball stopped right before the hole, then fell in,” said Faccioli. He also commented, “I was so excited I got the hole-in-one, I forgot about the Jeep for a second!”

Faccioli, the Merchandising Director at Northern Safety, has been golfing for 15 years and has never before scored a hole-in-one.
