NEW HARTFORD - With today being St. Patrick's Day, it seems like everyone is getting in the Irish mood, and the New Hartford Senior Center is no different.

Today the center is celebrating with traditional Irish music, a flag raising and an "Irish Program." The event is put on with the help of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and the Ancient order of the Hiernians. Event organizers say this is a good way to celebrate.

"It's a wonderful day for everyone," said Eileen Spellman, director of the New Hartford Senior Center.

Today's events were open to the public and wrapped up with a traditional Irish lunch - none other than corned beef and cabbage.
