"Come To The Table" benefits Peacemaker Program

WHITESBORO - The 4th annual "Come To The Table" fundraiser to benefit the Peacemaker Program was held Friday night. The fundraiser is the biggest for the Peacemaker Program. 45 tables were filled with various items from gift certificates to a Wii video game system. The money raised will go toward recruiting and training of volunteers to carry out the programs initiative.

Brenda Episcopo, the Executive Director said, "The Peacemaker provides mediation to help people resolve their conflicts and advocates for children in the family court system to help the courts do what's best for the children involved."

The Peacemaker Program serves over 2000 people a year and has over 350 volunteers to go with their 11 on staff. The goal this weekend is to raise $20,000.
