Oriskany gets ready for its 12th Annual Herb & Flower Festival

ORISKANY - It's plants and gardening abound as Oriskany gets ready for its 12th Annual Herb & Flower Festival.

It's being held at the Parker Scripture Botanical Gardens in Oriskany. This year, organizers have lots of activities planned, including several presentations ranging from controlling pests in your garden, to where landscape architecture is going in the 21st century.

Organizers say that although the festival is just one day, there's still plenty to do!

"Many think they can come up for just that one day," said Holly Wise, Consumer Horticulture Educator. "No, it's here for you to come and enjoy. There's a pavilion, you can have a picnic. There's nature trails you can walk around, the kids will really enjoy the footprints along the trails."

The festival also has an Herbal Bake Sale along with other goodies for sale.

It begins at 9 a.m. Saturday June 28th and runs until 3:30 p.m.
