Free AmeriCu Home Buyer's Seminars Being Held During June

ROME – As part of AmeriCU Credit Union’s 2009 Financial Education Series, AmeriCU Mortgage Executives will host a Home Buyer’s seminar in this month. The seminar is for anyone looking to purchase their first home or who is considering purchasing a new home. The series are free and open to the public (members and non-members are welcome). Space is limited so sign up today by contacting the AmeriCU Mortgage Department at (315) 356-3415. Light refreshments will be served.

The seminars will be offered at four different convenient days and times this month at the AmeriCU Griffiss Business Park location (231 Hill Road) in the Richard Smith Learning Center and at the Commercial Drive location in Yorkville for people to choose from based on their busy schedules.

Dates and times are as follows: Tuesday, June 16 from 6 pm to 7 pm (Commercial Drive); Saturday, June 20 from 9 am to 10 am (Griffiss); Tuesday, June 23 from 6 pm to 7 pm (Griffiss); and Tuesday, June 30 from 6 pm to 7 pm (Griffiss).

Attendees will learn about: Understanding the Home Buying Process; Determining Affordability; Mortgage Options; How to Save Cash at Closing and perform a Pre-Qualification Exercise. Each attendee will also receive a $100 Certificate to use towards closing costs to an AmeriCU Mortgage! There will also be a Q & A session at the end of each seminar.

There will be future, additional series of seminars held on topics such as Financial Education for Women; College Financial Planning and ID Theft, just to name a few. Details will continue to be posted on www.americu.org.
