Fireworks' change of venue getting positive reactionUTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - For the first time in many years, the City of Utica moved their annual Fourth of July celebration from the Parkway to Proctor Park. Reaction to the move has been positive due in large part to the amount of room available from which to watch the show. However, some people did say they wished more vendors were at the event. While construction work was the reason why the fireworks were shifted to Proctor Park the city decided to incorporate this move into a joint celebration of Proctor Park's 100th anniversary and the 4th of July. The Fourth of July Celebration is expected to move back to the Parkway next year. Most Popular |
