UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV)- The Children's Museum in Utica is looking for a new name.

As a result of feedback from visitors to the Children's Museum of History, Science and Technology, Museum officials are looking to rename the museum to make it more in line with all their offerings - looking to be viewed as more than just a "children's museum."

Founded in 1963, the museum was originally called the Junior Museum of Oneida County. In 1975, the organization's name was changed to Mohawk Valley Museum. In 1979, the name was changed to The Children's Museum of History, Natural History, and Science. In 2002, the name was changed to The Children's Museum of History, Science and Technology.

The winning name will be chosen by the museum's Board of Directors and announced at their Friday, November 20 preview party for their Holiday Gala / Festival of Trees kickoff event.

The winner will receive a one year free family admission to the museum.
A form may be picked up in the museum or downloaded from their website at www.museum4kids.net
