Heart Run organizers determined to raise $1 million or more this yearUTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Organizers for the annual Heart Run and Walk are hoping to add more teams for next year's event. Local CEO's were invited to take part in a breakfast Friday morning at the Radisson Hotel. It's a chance to give the leaders information on how to start a team for America's Greatest Heart Run and Walk. Corporate Chairperson Alex Carbone said the turnout for the event is what makes the Heart Run and Walk so special. "It's just unbelievable how in this sized community we can be the nation's biggest Heart Run and Walk," Carbone said. "It's just outstanding." Carbone said their goal this year is to raise one million dollars and possibly even surpass that mark. |
