Benefit held for infant in need of bone marrow transplant

POLAND, N.Y. (WKTV) - A fundraiser was held Saturday for seven month old Jackson Baldwin of Johnstown.

The little boy needs a bone marrow transplant very soon. The money raised from the benefit will go towards that transplant and expenses that Medicaid won't cover. The infant suffers in pain each day from a severe form of epidermolysis bullosa, or blisters on his skin.

Jessica Valik, Jackson's mom, says, "right now Jackson is on a lot of pain medicine so he's comfortable but we're just real anxious to get out there and get this bone marrow transplant.

Jackson's mom says she is overwhelmed at the support and generosity of everyone who showed up.
