UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - April is Alcohol Awareness Month and on Tuesday morning, the Center for Family Life and Recovery held its celebration of the power of help, hope and recovery.

Held at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Utica, Tara Colon Costello was recognized at the ceremony for her work in the community and for bridging agencies to help recovery from mental health and substance abuse disorders.

"Her ability to pull people together, hope and help, and the most important part, brings community agencies together, never forgetting that there are individuals," said Cassandra Sheets, CEO of the Center.

The bottom line at Tuesday's breakfast was that it takes the support of an entire community to keep recovery on track.
