Local residents volunteer to paint new business

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A group of people in West Utica took advantage of the nice weather on Sunday and helped a local business owner with a new coat of paint.

"Jeanette's Disha Vu Diner" is opening up at the corner of Noyes Street and Lincoln Avenue.

The owner couldn't afford to have the building painted professionally, so a group of volunteers turned out to lend a hand.

Jeannete is the daughter of Oneida County Legislator Harmony Specialle, who organized this effort for her mother.
