New sweet shop opens in New Hartford

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - If you're looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, there's a brand new pastry shop open in New Hartford where you do just that.

Christines' Cookie Shop and Sugar Babe's Cupcakes is now open to the public.

Christine Meeker and her co-owner Terry Puleo-Donato said they were both outgrowing their separate home-pastry businesses. They decided to come together to combine their talents into one business and offer a variety of sweets that's sure to please anyone.

"We make such a different assortment, like I have some Italian cookies, I've got from recipes from my family and just other cookies we've created, like my soft sugar cookies with butter cream frosting and creamsicle, different things that you don't really see around here," Meeker said.

The pastry shop is located at 46 Genesee Street in New Hartford and the cost of goodies range from 75 cents to $2.75.
