Successful week two for Oneida County Public Market

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Week two of the brand new Oneida County Public Market took place on Saturday and patrons give the place rave reviews.

The picture-perfect weather brought out many area folks who decided to stay close to home for the holiday. Many of those in attendance Saturday were also at the grand opening of the public market last week and say the crowd seems a lot bigger this week.

There are plenty of food vendors and even more produce vendors to keep attendees busy for a while.

Utica-resident Beth Irons says, "It highlights some of the local people we have in the area which helps them. It's a great introduction, the people that don't know what's here are being shown what's here, and the people who already know what's here are getting new customers and making new friends. It's a positive all the way around."

Picnic tables are set up for people to eat the many locally produced foods being sold.

The Oneida County Public Market is open ever Saturday through the summer and fall from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
