UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Some fresh new faces have moved in to the Utica Zoo and on Tuesday, they were officially welcome to one and all.

Over the last six months, the zoo has been continuing to acquire new animals for its collection, including a mountain zebra, a wallaby, lemur and a crane.

They are also welcoming a dwarf goat kid and a California sea lion pup on periodic exhibit.

"It's been a great 2013," Zoo Executive Director Andria Heath said. "For those who haven't seen the zoo in a long time, the whole zoo looks different. For those who came last year, there are at least 7-10 new additions, new exhibits, additions to an exhibit, and we're really excited."

The zoo also has a new mini-barn which can be found in the children's zoo, replicating a day in the life of a farm, featuring animals like a chicken, a pot-bellied pig, and a barn owl
