Travis Knapp has been writing and performing his original music for 10 years, and in 2008 won BMI’s John Lennon Songwriting Contest for his song “Before you Go”. With influences from soul, blues, folk, jazz and pop styles, Travis’ piano and guitar playing are a comfortable extension of his body. His deeply soothing and breathtakingly beautiful voclas have the ability to both transport and transform the listener. Travis studied pianoand voice in Ithaca College, where he served as an accompanist for mine fine vocalists. As a member of Ithacappella (IC’s premier male acappella group), he entertained audiences of all ages, from Ithaca and New England, to New Orleans and California. As half of the community education duo “Rot and Roll”, Travis writes and performs composting and ecology songs, including “Raw Veggies and Greens” from the Grammy-nominated album “Food for Thought”.

He currently resides in Ithaca, where he grows vegetables, gathers wild foods, and explores the forests.
