Event Description
Researcher and author Brian Wansink will deliver the annual Psi Chi lecture at SUNYIT April 18 starting at 2 p.m. in Kunsela Lecture Hall. Wansink is the Director of the Cornell Food and Brand Lab and the John Dyson Professor of Marketing at Cornell University, Ithaca.
The presentation is open to the public.
Best known for his work on consumer behavior and food, Wansink is the author of “Mindless Eating: Why We Eat More Than We Think.” The 2010 book describes how people who make more mindful food-related decisions can eat and live better.
During a leave from Cornell, Wansink served as executive director of the Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion in Washington D.C., leading the development of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s 2010 Dietary Guidelines.
