Bestselling author Julianna Baggott will read from her poetry. Baggott also writes under the pen names Bridget Asher and N.E. Bode and has published 19 books over the last 12 years. She is associate professor of English at Florida State University’s College of Motion Picture Arts.

Baggott enjoys an acclaimed career as a poet, having published three collections of poetry – This Country of Mothers (2001), Lizzie Borden in Love (2006) and Compulsions of Silkworms and Bees (2007). Her poems have appeared in such literary publications as Best American Poetry in 2012, The American Poetry Review in 2011 and Poetry in 2001.

Girl Talk (2001), Baggott’s first novel, was a national bestseller. Baggott has also published award-winning novels for younger readers.

In 2006, Baggott and her husband co-founded the nonprofit organization Kids in Need – Books in Deed, which focuses on literacy and getting free books to underprivileged children in the state of Florida.
