Event Description

The newly formed community group, Pause 4 All Paws, is partnering with the City of Little Falls to implement the inaugural “Parade 4 Paws.” This walk for awareness will take place Sunday, April 21 at 1:00PM. Community members are asked to meet at the Little Falls Library to walk with the group down Main Street to 4th Street and then back to the library. The City of Little Falls will redirect vehicle traffic, allowing the Parade 4 Paws to commence safely in the street.

April is animal cruelty awareness month and this effort will help shine a light on this growing concern, educate the public and encourage everyone to speak out and take action if they detect signs of animal abuse or neglect. Community members are welcome to attend and bring their family pet(s) to participate in the walk, although it is not required that an animal accompany you. Participants are also encouraged to bring signs with them to display throughout the walk that will speak out against the mistreatment of animals.

Community members are asked to be sure that their pet does well with crowds, children and other dogs and use their best judgment when electing to participate. In addition, participants are encouraged to wear orange to further show support of animal cruelty awareness month. There will be orange ribbons distributed to those who take part in the walk (a limited number will be available) as well as information regarding our local resources.

There is no charge to participate in this event, although you may consider making a donation to your local animal shelter.
