Event Description

Herkimer Now is partnering with the United Way of Mohawk Valley & Greater Utica Area and the Village of Herkimer to conduct our inaugural “Graffiti Busters Project.” This beautification initiative will take place Saturday, September 14, 2013. Community members are welcome and encouraged to join in this event.

Participants are encouraged to meet with Herkimer Now and the United Way this Saturday at 9:30am at the Basloe Library (245 North Main Street, Herkimer) for instructions. The painting cover-up will kick off at 10:00am across the street at the old Glory Days building. Together, we will paint over graffiti currently on the side of this historic building. The project is expected to conclude around 12:00pm.
In addition, the Village of Herkimer will have some extra beautification tasks available for volunteers to help with in that same area of North Main Street.

Community members are encouraged to participate in this Graffiti Busters Project. Supplies will be provided, along with t-shirts for the first 15 participants.

For more information or to sign up to volunteer, contact Herkimer Now committee member Laura Powers at 315-868-0233 or or simply show up at the event this Saturday.
