Event Description

SUNYIT will present a “SUNY BEST” lecture entitled “Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Test Program at the Griffiss International Airport” on Tuesday, March 18, noon-2 p.m., in Kunsela Lecture Hall. Presenter Lawrence H. Brinker, executive director and general counsel for NUAIR Alliance, will discuss the Federal Aviation Administration program to integrate Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) into the National Airspace System; the role of the Northeast UAS Airspace Integration Research Alliance, Inc. (NUAIR) and Griffiss International Airport in that program; and the potential civil and commercial market in the United States for UAS.

The SUNY BEST lecture series is intended to leverage the resources of community partners, with a focus on supporting and revitalizing regional quality of life.

The program is free and open to the public.
