Event Description

SUNYIT will present “Primary Health Care Across the Life Span,” a program for nurses, nurse practitioners, nursing students, and interested health care professionals, Friday, March 28, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. in Kunsela Hall.

The keynote speaker will be critical care nursing pioneer and SUNYIT alum Patricia Sterling, MS, RN, who assisted in developing and then taught the Mohawk Valley Critical Care Course for Nurses. Sterling has 45 years of nursing experience under her belt and is responsible for educating thousands of nurses in critical care. Sterling is a magna cum laude SUNYIT alumni, class of ‘78 and also received a graduate degree in education from SUNY Cortland.

The goal of this event is to provide current, low cost continuing education to healthcare providers in the community and to foster collegiality for healthcare providers of all levels in the Central New York Area. The cost is $25 for students, $40 for SUNYIT Alumni and Preceptors and $50 for the General Public if paid before March 21. The cost is $60 if payment is received after March 21 or at the door.
