Why:
Our West Utica neighborhoods have been plagued by violence and West Utica programs are scarce. IT IS UP TO US TO JOIN TOGETHER AND PAVE THE WAY TO GET OUR KIDS OFF THE STREETS! Too much has been lost to boredom and
negative influences, including violence, drugs, and sex. Arts West Alliance, a coalition fo neighborhoods and organizations work to provide a positive,
exciting learning experience through a variety of athletic, artistic, musical, and prevention programs.

With school just around the corner, many families cannot afford to purchase school supplies and need our help. With the help from many community
collaborators, we will prepare our youth for the school year, helping to ensure a positive learning experience, while boosting self-confidence to get
them off to a good start! We also provide volunteer opportunities for families who receive, to give back to our community. There will be a sign up
sheet to volunteer for the day and future events.

PLEASE NOTE--Legislator Speciale would like an opportunity to appear on radio shows next week to help promote the event.
The event was organized with major time constraints and little PR has been done. We would very much appreciate the opportunity if your station has an
opening.

For more information or to schedule an interview, please contact Legislator Harmony Speciale (also Founder of Arts West Alliance) at 315-679-1808.
