By WKTV News

CLINTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - Clinton's Shoppers Stroll capped off with the Town of Kirkland's 48th Annual Holiday Parade Friday. The parade followed College Street and continued around the Village Green to the fire house where kids of all ages got a chance to sit on Santa's lap and tell him their wishes.

"Because I really want to watch it," said 4 year old Lilli Stroich of Clinton. "I really want to see the pretty lights on the fire trucks and stuff and see Santa Claus and the parade where there's elves!"

Clinton's Shoppers Stroll has expanded to a two day event this year starting Saturday at 9am with breakfast at several village restaurants. At 11 am the Crazy Hat Parade will start at the corner of Chenango and College streets, all are welcome to participate and a prize for Best of Show is at stake. At 3:30 pm the Clinton Historical Society is hosting a story-telling followed by a "Community Sing" on the village green at 4:30 pm.
