1st Annual "Festival of Wreaths" raises money for Abraham House

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - You couldn't get more "christmassy"...than the Sons of Italy Lodge in Utica on Sunday.

The smell of pine filled the air, as the lodge held its first annual Festival of Wreaths.

More than fifty handmade wreaths were donated by members of various organizations throughout the greater Utica area.

A silent auction was held to raise money for the Abraham House in Utica, a home for the terminally ill.

Besides the smell of pine, the Sons of Italy "fried dough" was quite a hit as well.

Well over $1,000 was expected to be raised for the Abraham House.
