Baskets with everything needed for a meal picked up Tuesday

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - More than 70 families picked up Thanksgiving baskets Tuesday at Chanatry's.

The drive was organized by the Center for Family Life and Recovery and Bank of New York Mellon. The Thanksgiving baskets had everything needed for a meal, from a tray to cook the bird on to Cool Whip for pie.

"We start this in October and do all the planning way ahead," said Cassandra Sheets, CEO of the Center for Family Life and Recovery. "By the time we get to this execution stage, all the tough labor is complete."

This is the 20th year for the basket drive. Holland Farms helped out as well.
