Stuff The Bus 2010 was a success

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Stuff The Bus campaign wrapped up for another season on Saturday, and WKTV and Roser Communications want to thank the public for their support.

Two full bus loads of toys and other presents were distributed Saturday to some families who needed a little extra help this Christmas.

For each of the past four weeks a Birnie Bus has been located in different parts of the Mohawk valley, and people came out to stuff it big time!

Some folks actually came out Saturday to fill the buses just that much more. The goal was to beat last year's total of 8,500 toys, and that total, thanks to the public, was met.

Ken Roser, of Roser Communications, said, "Without the help of the community and the sponsors that make it possible, we think that some kids would go without a Happy Christmas and a Merry Christmas, so that is what we do it for, we do it for the kids."

Catholic Charities distributed the presents to the families in need at their headquarters on Genesee Street in Utica.
