Black Friday shoppers choose Clinton over big box stores


CLINTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - Some people opted to not brave the crowds at the mall for a door buster deal this Black Friday. Instead, their post-Thanksgiving plans included taking a stroll through the village of Clinton.

Friday, Clinton Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual Shoppers' Stroll. Stores and restaurants opened at 10:00 a.m. and closed at 9:00 p.m.

People got a chance to get take advantage of sales and avoid the hassles of Black Friday.

The event ended with the annual Holiday parade and tree lighting ceremony.
