"Ho Ho Hotline" encourages kids to call Santa & Mrs. Claus

By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Ho Ho Hotline is open for 2010 holiday business.

Santa and Mrs. Claus are in town to answer the calls of nice girls and boys. The hotline is a 16-year tradition for St. Luke's Home Adult Day Health Care program.

Many people ask the organizers how they get Santa to make the early trip to Utica each year. Their answer - great food.

"We gear it more towards the little ones who are home and there are a lot of kids who are home by two 'o clock," said Leslie Lawrence of St. Luke's Adult Day Health Care. "We have considered it but our participants aren't here and that's who it's for. Our participants want to answer the phone and they love doing it."

The number for the Ho Ho Hotline, which runs until December 21st, is 315-624-4525

You can call and talk to Santa and Mrs. Claus Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Also, a tip for parents - call in and see what kids are asking for this year.
