"Stuff The Bus" campaign surpasses goal

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The bus runneth over, thanks to the generosity of Central New Yorkers, many of whom are financially strapped themselves. Friday was the final day to Stuff The Bus.

Talk of the Town radio host Mark Piersma has been in the New Hartford Shopping Center parking lot collecting toys for local kids in need. The hope was to collect 13.000 toys, but it looks like that goal will be passed, and it will be a merry christmas for thousands of local kids in need.

The toys will be distributed in the next two weeks by Catholic Charities, Kids Oneida-Herkimer, United Cerebral Palsy and the Keys Program.

NEWSChannel 2 is proud to sponsor Stuff The Bus alongside Roser Communications (Kiss-FM, Bug Country, WUTQ), Birnie Bus, and Fidelis Care.
