Capt. David Michle with the Utica Police Department says he looks forward to this day every year. Michle said, "It's a great opportunity to bring you back to your childhood. You always looked up to law enforcement offices and this kind of brings us together, and give them an opportunity to understand police and law enforcement and see them in a different light."

Officer Damien Golden, also with UPD. says this event is not only about making sure kids have an extra special holiday season, but to get kids comfortable with police officers in general. Golden said, "We want the kids to know that we we're approachable, you can have fun, you can come up and talk to us. It definitely helps us bridge the gap."
