Harley owners give back to area kids in annual Toy Run

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - On this Columbus Day holiday, a group of motorcycle enthusiasts are hoping to make the upcoming holidays a little brighter for area children.

The Erie Canal Harley Owners Group or "
HOGs" made a stop at the neighborhood center in Utica on Monday.

They dropped off toys and cash donations from their annual Toy Run.

The HOGs have done this for 13 years and they get great enjoyment every time, "it's a great organization. We love doing it for the kids," said HOGs Director Robert Dingman. "They get a thrill out of it. The money that we raise from our toy run goes toward this and they use it to provide to the kids that might not have so much."

As always, the kids also got to check out and play on the different motorcycles.
