MVCC schedules cultural events

(WKTV) - "Last Comic Standing" performer Tracey Ashley will perform Tuesay at Mohawk Valley Community College.

On Wednesday, author John Slade will present a lecture on climate change at 1 p.m. in the Excellus Room 225 in the Information Technology Building on the Utica campus. Slade's most recent book is "Climate Change and the Oceans." Visit johnsladebooks.com for more information.

On Thursday, MVCC will screen the documentary "Triangle: Remembering the Fire" at 6 p.m. in the Excellus Room 225 in the Information Technology Building on the Utica campus. After the film, Bill Perrotti, professor of life and health services, will lead a conversation about the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire that killed 146 workers in 1911. Admission is $5 for general, $2 for faculty and staff and free for MVCC students.
