NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - While it may not be the Kentucky Derby, there was still plenty of excitement as employees of Utica National Insurance spent an extended lunch hour enjoying the sunshine and racing rubber duckies in the nearby creek.

The activity raises $3,000-$4,000 for the Children's Miracle Network.

"The event itself is a lot of fun," said Steve Kukowski of Utica National. "There is a lot of excitement generated. Each employee who purchases a duck gets to name it, so there are quite a few creative names out there. Employees have a tremendous time at this event and we have a wonderful day for it as well."

2013 Miracle Child Matthew Bruno was at the race, inspiring people to donate to Faxton-Saint Luke's.
