Sitrin holds 2nd Annual Stars and Stripes Run-Walk

MARCY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Local residents took to the campus of SUNY-IT to support military rehabilitation, Saturday.

It was the 2nd Annual Sitrin Stars and Stripes Run-Walk, where hundreds of people took part in the fundraiser, which supports Sitrin's Military Rehabilitation Program.

The program provides care for wounded warriors suffering from PTSD, brain injuries, and other combat related conditions.

It's goal is to build a medical treatment center at Camp Sitrin in New Hartford, in order to expand their capabilities to provide treatment to war veterans.

Last year's inaugural Run-Walk raised more than $70,000.

Organizers hope to raise even more this year.
