Veterans honored at Valentine's Day luncheon in Utica

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A local senior center held a Valentine's Luncheon for local veterans on Tuesday.

The West Side Senior Center in the city of Utica was all decked out in red and hearts, as were the guests for Tuesday's luncheon with roughly 60 people in attendance.

Ellie Nayda, a veteran of the Korean War said she was delighted that she and her fellow veterans were honored in this way.

"I think it's wonderful any time they honor the veterans," she said. "It's great, especially the old timers."

Ham and scalloped potatoes were the highlight on Tuesday's menu.
