Walks for Autism held throughout Mohawk Valley

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - April is Autism Awareness Month and on Saturday, despite the cold, many walked for the cause. The Kkelberman Center in Utica was just one of a number of locations that played host to the annual Walk for Autism.

Organizers say the numbers are staggering. One out of every 88 children is effected by Autism.

The pledges walkers receive are all donated to fund programs that help those families in Central New York.

Other walks were held this weekend in Rome, Oneida and Cooperstown. There are two more set for next Saturday in New Hartford and Boonville.
