2 facing felony drug charges following Bleecker Street search

Two people are facing felony drug charges after a search on Bleecker Street led to the discovery of cocaine and other items.

UTICA – Two people are facing felony drug charges after a search on Bleecker Street led to the discovery of cocaine and other items, according to the Utica Police Department.

On November 8, Utica police executed a search warrant in a rear apartment at 764 Bleecker St. in Utica following an investigation into the possession and sale of illegal narcotics.

Police say that during the search they found and seized a quantity of cocaine, concentrated cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

Michael Ellis, 34, is charged with the following:

- Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Felony)
- Two courts of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Felony)
- Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Misdemeanor)
- Three counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)

Trista Bennett, 31, is charged with the following:
- Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Felony)
- Two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Felony)
- Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Misdemeanor)
- Three counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
